Installing the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable package

Problem

The Neteros Application is meant to be self-contained, meaning all the software required to run Neteros is already included in it. However, when you run quicksetup.exe you may encounter that it fails to start (tested on Windows 10). You might see the error: the process terminated unexpectedly. This indicates that your Windows OS doesn't have the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable package.

Solution

Download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable package.

Steps

1. Go to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Latest Supported Downloads and choose the X64 download option. The file size is about 24MB.
   
   
2. Install it by double-clicking the downloaded file and clicking install on the installation wizard.
   
   

After completing the installation, run quicksetup.exe again and it should now be fixed.
